Living Well Mint Shake Recipe

With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, we all celebrate this time of the season for a few famous Irish food and drink recipes. Among the corned beef and green beer, there is a particular fast-food restaurant that has capitalized on the season of green and created a cult classic.

Due to copyright law, we can’t say what it is, but let’s just say it’s a vanilla-mint milkshake named after four-leaf clovers that you can order through a drive-thru. We're not entirely sure what goes into the original shake, so we decided to create a recipe inspired by the original – with a healthy twist. You know, for good luck. Drink one for dessert, as a snack, or even at the top o’ the mornin’, your call.

Mint Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients: 6oz. light vanilla yogurt
1 small banana
1/3 cup packed fresh spinach (1 small handful)
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/4 cup milk of choice (we like vanilla flavored almond milk)
1 chocolate mint flavored nutrition bar (we used a Clif Bar)

1. Cut the nutrition bar into small chunks, save a few crumbles for topping.
2. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
