Join VG's Grocery and the SpartanNash Foundation in the fight against hunger!

Between October 23 and November 3, the SpartanNash Foundation invites store guests to support more than 100 food pantries and food banks in our local communities.

During the 12-day fundraising campaign, store guests (like you!) have the opportunity to donate $1, $5 or $10 at any checkout lane or through the Fast Lane – and 100 percent of all donations will go directly to a local food bank in the community where the funds are raised.

One in six people struggle with hunger, and every dollar matters as we work to end hunger in our local communities. At local food pantries and food banks, your dollars can make a huge difference:

• $1 will offset the cost of food for two guests.
• $5 will provide an entire meal, including main course and two sides, for a person in need.
• $10 will buy fresh fruit or vegetables for salads for up to 60 people.
• $20 will provide milk for a week’s worth of meals.

Last year, $278,105 was granted to more than 100 local food pantry partners through the SpartanNash Foundation’s fundraising campaign to provide hunger relief. That’s more than 1.1 million meals for families in the eight states where VG's Grocery and other SpartanNash-owned stores are located!

In addition to financial support, VG's Grocery and SpartanNash also donate millions of pounds of food and other grocery products to community food pantries and local nonprofits each year – and company associates volunteer thousands of hours at nonprofit partners that fight hunger.
