New to our stores in 2020 are Nutrition Pathways. Nutrition Pathways are the icons printed on the shelf tags in-store and can be found when shopping online via the Fastlane at  Due to limited space, up to four pathways can be printed on the shelf tags in-store, but all pathways that a product qualifies for can be found on Fastlane.

Nutrition Pathways highlight the most nutritious foods as well as popular lifestyle choices throughout our store.  Whether managing a health condition, following a food lifestyle, or just wanting to make healthier choices, we will help you find the better-for-you and lifestyle items that you are looking for.

Sustainable Pathway Nutrition Icons
Today, sustainability is more important than ever. It is our responsibly to take care of the planet and leave it in better condition than we found it.  Our stores are proud to be a good community partner and practice sustainability efforts.  From reducing diesel fuel and energy use to reducing food waste by preventing foods from going to the landfill, our stores take active steps to reduce environmental impact.

We are proud to offer a variety of sustainable food options in our aisles.  Our Sustainable Nutrition Pathway includes all foods with the following claims and/or certifications: B Corp, Biobased, BPA Free, Carbon Footprint, Dolphin Safe, Environmentally Friendly, Ethical, Fair Trade, Forest Stewardship Council, FSC, Marine Stewardship Council, Rainforest Alliance Cert, Sustainable Farming, Sustainable Fishing, Sustainable Forest Initiative, Sustainable Packaging, Sustainable Seafood, and/or Wild Caught.  Many of these claims and certifications are well-known in the food community, so if a product is sustainable, it should have one or more of these claims and/or certifications.  Claims and certifications indicating that only the packaging of the food is sustainable are not included in the Sustainable pathway.  To be part of the Sustainable pathway, the food itself must have a sustainable claim or certification.

Please note, some foods may be sustainable, but are not part of the pathway yet since the manufacturer has not provided the ingredient list and product data to be analyzed.  This can happen with any pathway since we must rely on the food companies to submit their product information in order to be considered for pathways.  Please be patient with us as we educate food companies and gather all product information.  Additionally, if a manufacturer changes the recipe or reformulates a food, they have been instructed to submit updated product information.  The foods within the Nutrition Pathways are to the best of our knowledge.

Sustainable foods are not guarantee of better nutrition, but do support a better planet!  Shop for a variety of sustainable foods in-store or on Fastlane.
