- Mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, and both sugars together, and toss in the cubes of bread. Let it soak for a few minutes to allow the batter to get into the bread cubes.
- Place the mixture in a greased ceramic or glass baking dish and bake at 350°F for 35 minutes. You should be able to toothpick the center of the bread and the toothpick come out clean.
- For the topping melt the butter and sugar together in a small pot on the stove over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a soft simmer and cook for 2 minutes. Allow to cool and garnish the pudding just before serving.
