  • 1 (14.5-oz.) pkg. macaroni-and-cheese mix
  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (15-oz.) can pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Cook pasta from macaroni-and-cheese mix according to package directions, reserving cheese packet. Drain pasta; set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain fat. Stir in pizza sauce and reserved cheese packet. Add cooked pasta; toss to coat. Transfer mixture to a 3-quart rectangular baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, about 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
