Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh thyme or 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 2 tsp. bottled minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. cracked black peppercorns
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 T-bone steaks, 1-inch thick

  1. For the balsamic syrup, in a small saucepan cook vinegar over low heat until syrupy and reduced to about 3 tablespoons. Remove from heat; set aside.
  2. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium (300°F to 350°F). In a small bowl stir together thyme, garlic, peppercorns and salt. Rub onto both sides of steaks.
  3. Place steaks on grill. Grill 6 to 7 minutes per side (145°F for medium-rare) or to desired doneness. Remove from grill, drizzle with balsamic syrup, and serve.
