- In a large bowl combine beef, onion, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger and garlic. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours.
- Transfer beef mixture to a slow cooker; stir in broth. Cook on LOW 10 hours or until beef is tender.
- Increase heat to HIGH. Stir in mushrooms. In a small bowl combine cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water; stir into slow cooker. Cook 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened. Serve over rice (if desired) and top with green onions.
