Cheddar Potato Pie

Ground beef, onion and steak sauce are simmered then spooned into a casserole, topped with cheesy mashed potatoes and baked for a hearty entrée.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup A.1. Original Sauce
  • 2 cup hot mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

  1. HEAT oven to 350ºF.
  2. BROWN meat with onions in large skillet; drain. Add A.1.; bring to boil. Spoon into 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. MIX potatoes and cheese; spread evenly over meat mixture.
  3. BAKE 12 to 15 min. or until heated through (165°F).
  4. SUBSTITUTE Prepare using lean ground turkey or extra-lean ground beef. SERVING SUGGESTION Serve with a steamed green vegetable, such as broccoli, and glass of fat-free milk.
  5. KEEPING IT SAFE To thaw frozen ground beef safely, keep meat wrapped and thaw on bottom shelf of refrigerator, not on countertop.
