Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups jarred chunky pasta sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 (8-oz.) pkg. ziti or penne, cooked
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat an 8x8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a large nonstick skillet cook ground beef and garlic over medium heat until beef is no longer pink; drain.
  2. Stir in pasta sauce, basil, cooked pasta and mozzarella; season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to baking dish; cover with foil. Bake 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven. Uncover and sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake 5 to 7 minutes more or until cheese melts. Serve hot.
