Our Family butter, melted (non-dairy butter substitute for dairy-free option)
Our Family cheese slices (non-dairy cheese substitute for dairy-free option)
Fruit or veggies of choice, optional
Preheat skillet. While skillet is heating, invite kids to help spread melted butter one side of each slice of bread.
Place the bread butter-side-down in skillet, add a slice of cheese, fruit or veggies if desired, and a slice of bread butter-side-up to top sandwich. Grill until lightly browned and flip over; continue grilling until cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining slices of bread, butter, and slices of cheese. Serve. Refrigerate any uneaten portion and discard after 4 days.
