- In a large skillet heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring, about 3 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Roma tomatoes, basil, oregano, and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes or to desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta al dente according to package directions. Drain. Serve with tomatoâ??basil sauce.
