Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. melted butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 Braeburn or Gala apple, cored
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, cored
  • 1 sweet onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices

  1. Preheat grill to medium direct heat (300°F to 350°F). Meanwhile, blend butter, oil, cinnamon, salt, pepper and cloves in small bowl. Peel apples, if desired. Cut apples into 1/2-inch-thick round slices; arrange apples and onion slices on grill in single layer.* Grill, covered, 2 minutes per side.
  2. Brush with half of butter mixture. Turn and brush with remaining butter mixture. Grill, covered, 7 to 11 minutes or until tender, turning once. Serve with pork or chicken, if desired.
