Smoked Sausage and Hummus Toasts

A few minutes of prep time go a long way in this savory twist on your classic party app.

  • 1 package Eckrich smoked sausage, chopped
  • Handful red pepper, chopped
  • 2 - 16 oz. pre-made hummus spreads
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Olive oil
  • French bread


  1. STIR: Hummus and parsley together.
  2. TOAST: Sliced French bread brushed with olive oil in a pan.
  3. SAUTÉ: Red pepper and chopped smoked sausage in a separate pan.
  4. COOK: Until lightly browned.
  5. TOP: Toasts with bean dip. Layer on smoked sausage and pepper mixture. Then pass these feisty little apps at room temperature.
