Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple wood or cherry wood chips?
  • 1 boneless turkey breast
  • 1 1/2 tsp. peeled, grated gingerroot, divided
  • 2 tbsp. chopped green onion
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 kiwifruit or carambola, quartered and sliced

  1. Preheat grill to medium (300°F to 350°F). Rub turkey with 1/2 teaspoon of the ginger, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Place turkey on grill, skin side up, over indirect heat. Grill, covered, 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 hours or until instant-read thermometer registers 170°F. Remove from grill; cover and let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
  3. Meanwhile, for salsa, in a medium bowl stir together onion, honey and remaining 1 teaspoon ginger. Gently stir in raspberries and kiwi. Serve sliced turkey with salsa.
