Turkey Croissant Melt

Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants, split
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream cheese with chives
  • 1/2 lb. peppered turkey breast
  • 1 avocado, pitted, peeled, thinly sliced and lightly salted
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices Swiss or Colby-Jack cheese, cut in half

  1. Preheat broiler. Place croissant halves, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Broiler to toast lightly. Remove croissant tops; set aside and keep warm.
  2. In a small bowl combine bacon and cream cheese; spread evenly on bottom halves of croissants. Place turkey, avocado and tomato on top of cream cheese. Top each with a slice of Swiss.
  3. Broil about 6 inches from heat just until cheese melts and light golden. Remove baking sheet from broiler. Top with top halves of croissants, and serve.
