Another way we can support your new year’s goals, is that we invite you to walk in our stores. When shopping, try parking a little further away from the door and walk up and down each aisle, even if you do not need items from those aisles, to increase your steps. Walking in the supermarket can be excellent exercise!
These resources will put you on the right track to achieve your health and wellness goals.

OATMEAL MONTH
One food to highlight that supports almost all health and wellness goals is oats. Additionally, January is Oatmeal Month, so the perfect time to incorporate oats into your diet! Oats are a complex carbohydrate that is an excellent source of energy and contain fiber which helps keep blood sugar steady and reduce the bad, LDL cholesterol. Oats can be enjoyed warm as oatmeal or as an ingredient in a variety of dishes. Oats can also be incorporated into desserts such as in pie crust or cookies.

VEGGIE TOTS
To kick off the new year, try this delicious recipe for homemade Veggie Tots (https://www.shopvgs.com/recipes/veggie-tots)! A simple way to incorporate oats is to use oats in place of bread crumbs in recipes such as meatloaf or veggie tots.
Happy healthy eating this New Year!
