Step Outside Tradition with Hot & Sweet Ham Glaze
Aside from the traditional pineapple ham glaze here’s something if you like to turn up the heat - honey sriracha is a blend of the sweet and spicy and compliments a salty ham.
It’s easy to prepare - mix four ingredients and you’re ready to coat the ham. A rule of thumb for heating up a pre-cooked spiral ham is 275 degrees, at 12-15 minutes per pound. You’ll want to tent the ham in foil or use an oven-safe bag. For the last 30 minutes of cook time, remove the foil or the bag and recoat so the sugar caramelizes and the ham takes on a brown crust.
